“Mountains”: Behind the Song

Upbeat and hopeful, banjo and slide guitar melodic lines intertwine while acoustic guitar anchors this release solidly in the Americana/Folk genre. Light yet energetic percussion drives the rhythm section, with a strong and whimsical bass line holding a confident stride opposite a lilting, breezy vocal, backed joyfully by a gentle choir.

The track culminates in a soaring harmonica solo, gleeful and wild, sending the song sailing into the sunset. "Mountains" pairs perfectly with a drive through Autumn colors at Golden hour, and is among good company with artists such as The Head and the Heart, First Aid Kit, and Ira Wolf.
